(TSX-V:AXE) today announced that it has added functionality to produce highly efficient reverse time migration angle gathers to its industry-leading AxRTM™ software package. AxRTM can now efficiently produce RTM angle gathers in both 2D and 3D data.\n\nAngle gathers generated with reverse time migration are often desired to increase the quality of imaging and velocity model building in complex geological structures. However, it is a technique that is computationally expensive and many simplified implementations available today are too inaccurate to be effective.
