(TSX-V: AXE), a leading developer\nof acceleration solutions for high-performance computing applications, in\nconjunction with Schmid & Partner Engineering AG (SPEAG), announced today that\nKorea's Radio Research Laboratory (RRL) is adopting their combined simulation\nsolution to conduct the testing and certification of all cellular handsets in\nKorea.\n\n\nRRL is mandated to certify all cellular handsets for the Korean market as\nwell as perform compliance testing and simulations to create national\nstandards. The Acceleware and SPEAG accelerated simulation solution is\ncurrently used by RRL to solve advanced Electromagnetic Compliance (EMC),\nElectromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Signal Integrity problems to determine\nthe electromagnetic safety of mobile devices for human exposure.\n\n\n"RRL is performing compliance testing and creating standards in Korea\ncovering human exposure to RF fields as well as EMC and EMI," said RRL\nresearcher Mr. Sung-sik Kong. "The introduction of SEMCAD X combined with the\nAcceleware ClusterInABox Quad has improved our research potential by\nincreasing our data processing capabilities. In addition, this new technology\nprovides us with more powerful simulation software to solve advanced human\nexposure to RF fields and EMC/EMI problems."\n\n\n"With this new turnkey simulation solution, we now have the ability to\nrun large models with simulation speeds of up to one GigaCells per second or\neven faster, something we've never been able to do before using an enhanced\ndesktop machine," said Dr. Nik Chavannes, Director of Software at SPEAG. "We\nare confident that this revolutionary technology will push the barrier of\nsimulation interpretation."\n\n\nBased on the computing architecture of NVIDIA's Graphics Processing Units\n(GPUs), Acceleware's products, paired with SPEAG's SEMCAD X, provide a\nsignificant increase in speed to Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD)\nsimulations, offering a high-speed turnkey simulation solution that can\nquickly and accurately model regulatory compliance for cell phone\nmanufacturers and other electronic devices. With this combined solution, RRL\nis able to expand their ...
