[{"type":"text","content":"African Metals Corporation Announces Revocation of Cease Trade Orders by the BCSC\n \n \n (TheNewswire)\n \n \n TORONTO, Ontario –\n \n TheNewswire -\n \n December 21,\n2020 – African Metals Corporation (NEX:AFR.H)\n \n (TSXV:\n \n AFR.H\n \n )\n \n (“\n \n African Metals\n \n ” or the “\n \n Company\n \n ”) is pleased to announce\nthat, effective December 17, 2020 (the “\n \n Effective Date\n \n ”), the British\nColumbia Securities Commission (the “\n \n BCSC\n \n ”), the Company’s principal regulator under Division\n4 of National Policy 11-207, fully revoked the Management Cease Trade\nOrder issued against certain insiders of the Company on September 30,\n2016 (the “\n \n MCTO\n \n ”) and the\nFailure-to-File Cease Trade Order issued against the Company on\nDecember 1, 2016 (the “\n \n FFCTO\n \n ”). The Company thanks its shareholders and supporters\nfor their patience during the period that the MCTO and the FFCTO were\nin effect.\n \n \n The MCTO was issued by the BCSC as a result of the Company’s failure\nto file its annual audited financial statements for the year ended May\n31, 2016 (the “\n \n 2016\nFinancials\n \n ”) and the accompanying management’s discussion\nand analysis (“\n \n MD&A\n \n ”).\nThe FFCTO was subsequently issued by the BCSC as a result of the\nCompany’s failure to file its 2016 Financials and its interim\nfinancial report for the period ended August 31, 2016, along with the\naccompanying MD&A and the related certifications, on or before the\nprescribed filing deadline as required under applicable Canadian\nsecurities legislation.  For further information on the circumstances\nsurrounding the MCTO and the FFCTO, please see the Company’s news\nreleases dated September 30, 2016 and March 13, 2017, respectively.\n \n \n In connection with its application to revoke the MCTO and the FFCTO,\nthe Company has provided an undertaking to the BCSC that it will hold\nan Annual General Meeting within three months of the Effective Date.\n \n The Company has met all other conditions required by\nthe BCSC for revocation of the MCTO and the FFCTO.\n \n \n \n Now that the MCTO and the FFCTO have been revoked, the Company intends\nto apply to the TSX...
