(“Vergence”). The launch is anticipated to take place on Cyber Monday and the new product line will be the first of twelve products the Company hopes to launch over a 36-month period.\n “We are very proud to have developed two products that safely reduce pain and modulate inflammation. We have also secured a consistent supply of the ingredients on which our products will be based, including the rare phytocannabinoid, Alpinia galangal,” added Dr. Minshew. Alpinia galanga is commonly found in Indonesia and Malaysia and has historically been used to relieve gastric distress. More recently, it has been used to improve mental alertness and attention and has also been combined with cisplatin to treat lung cancer. More relevant to our applications, Alpinia galanga also binds to and activates both CB1 and CB2, the body’s main cannabinoid receptors. By activating these receptors, Alpinia galanga reduces pain and inflammation and improves mobility.
