Her Excellency Madame Fatima Braoulé MEITE is the Ambassador of the Republic of Mali in Canada and Permanent Representative of Mali to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is a graduate of the University of Québec in Montréal (UQAM) and from Stony Brook University in New York, Long Island (SUNY at Stony-Brook).HE Mr. Fatima Braoule MEITE hold an MBA as well as a double major Bachelor in Business and in Sociology (Harriman School – Stony Brook).On a professional level, the new Ambassador of Mali to Canada was Technical Advisor to the governance unit of the Presidency of the Republic of Mali from (2014 to 2019), Chargée de mission at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (2011 -2013) and Municipal Councillor in Commune II of the District of Bamako. (2009-2015).She was also a Consultant for the United Nations, the European Union and Luxembourg cooperation in the field of human rights, the promotion of women, especially women politicians and decentralization.A specialist in international law and gender issues, she served as a Temporary Instructor (IT) at the School of Peacekeeping (EMP) Alione Blondin Beye on people with special needs in conflict situations, on fundamental knowledge of peacekeeping operations and conflict management: the role of local communities in post-conflict management, Consultant in the Office du Niger area in Siengo and Molodo within the framework of studies on “the social and economic role of women of the Office du Niger in planning rice basins”. It was in this context that she took part in the international preparatory meetings for the Fourth World Conference on Women (Beijing, September 4-5, 1995) in Dakar.In the social field, Ms. MEITE was Coordinator of the Network of Intervenors with Orphans and Other Vulnerable Children (RIOEV) which provided care for 3,500 children in the 8 regional capitals of Mali and the district of Bamako. It was thus able to set up an innovative system for the comprehensive care of Orphans and other Vulnerable Children (OVC) based on the decentralization of care for vulnerable layers.Finally, Ms. MEITE is the founder and facilitator of Bamako Incubator which provides help and support to Malian start-ups.
